Registering a Sending Service Provider (SSID Setup)

← Back to Payday Super Guide Hub

Step 1 — Critical

Register your SSID with the ATO

You must complete this step before lodging STP or processing Payday Super.

This must be completed first

Without SSID registration, STP submissions will fail and Payday Super cannot proceed.

Deadline: 30 June 2026

What is SSID registration?

You must notify the ATO which service provider is submitting your payroll data on your behalf.

This is done by registering a Software ID (SSID) against your ABN in Access Manager.

Where to get your SSID

Your service provider

Log in to your service provider and locate your SSID. Refer to their documentation if you are unsure where to find it.

Need help?

Contact your provider or payroll software support team to obtain your SSID.

Register your SSID — step by step

  1. Log in to Access Manager using myGovID
  2. Go to My Business → My Hosted Software Services
  3. Search for your service provider in the list
  4. Enter your SSID and save

You're done when:

✓ Your SSID is saved in Access Manager
✓ Your provider appears as a registered service
✓ STP submissions no longer return SSID errors
