SC Claim option not showing in the Subcontract Payment menu

Why the SC Claim option is missing under Actions, and how to restore it.

Overview

If the SC Claim option is missing from the Actions menu in Subcontract Payment, the agreement is set to use a payment schedule instead of payment authority. SC Claim is only available when the agreement uses payment authority.

Restore the SC Claim option

1. Go to Projects > Subcontracts > Maintain S/C Agreement.

2. Enter the Job, Subcontractor and Agreement details, then press Enter.

3. Click OK to go to the second page.

4. Untick the checkbox "Use Payment Schedule instead of Payment Authority".

5. Save the agreement and reopen the Subcontract Payment. The SC Claim option now appears under Actions.

Note: If the agreement needs to keep using a payment schedule, leave the checkbox ticked — the SC Claim option will then stay unavailable for that agreement.
