Trimble Ri - Firmware Installation & Compatibility

With the Trimble Ri, it is important to ensure you are using the proper firmware for the version of FieldLink you are using on your tablet. The table below shows the firmware parings for optimal performance.

2. Firmware Installation

To install Firmware onto the Ri you will need Trimble Installation Manager installed. If you do not have Trimble installation manager please refer to (TIMS Guide)

1. Open Trimble Installation Manager
2. Connect the Ri to the computer using the USB-Serial cable 
3. Click Optical & Scanning
4. Click Trimble Ri
   
   
   
5. Click Connect
   
   
   
6. Chose which Firmware you want to install
7. Click Install
   
   
   
8. Click Update
   

Note: The blue Download icon text to the firmware version will save the .exe file to be used offline if needed.
