Tax Table Updates – Australia (EOFY 2026/2027)

What's changing for payroll tax tables in the 2026–2027 financial year, and what you need to do about it.

Important: From 1 July 2026, the marginal tax rate for income between $18,201 and $45,000 decreases to 15%. HELP / STSL repayment thresholds are also updated and must be applied.

Update: FY27 Tax Tables and HELP rates are now available.

What's changing this year

  • Tax rate for $18,201–$45,000 reduced from 16% to 15%
  • HELP / STSL repayment thresholds indexed annually
  • Most other tax tables and withholding schedules remain unchanged

How to update your tax tables
